Our Founder
Carey Rose O'Connell is a results-driven producer with over 20 years of experience leading creative teams, projects, and business strategy across the film and television industry. As Founder & Producer of Marketing & Distribution at AFMI Productions, she bridges the gap between creative vision and financial viability — specializing in project packaging, investor relations, and helping independent producers navigate New Mexico's 40% film tax credit landscape.
Carey is the architect of The Incubator, a tuition-free producer training program built to professionalize the independent sector and grow local ownership in Albuquerque and beyond. She also serves as EVP of Digital Marketing, Logistics & Planning and Acquisitions Consultant for Disrupt Entertainment, where she identifies high-potential feature films for global distribution.
Her mission: give storytellers the infrastructure to build sustainable businesses — not just films.

She brings more than 20 years of experience in corporate management, brand marketing, and communications to the film and television industry.

Jaimi Romano has been an active member of the film and media industry for almost a decade, with experience in producing, acting, and writing. Jaimi's extensive experience in events and marketing combines her creative and logistical skill sets to support filmmakers in developing high-quality, impactful content through detailed planning and communication.
